Nothing screams pure holiday bliss than ordering a pint of beer with every meal you order, after all, it's British culture to enjoy booze at the pub with our friends. Now one man who ordered some alcohol at a restaurant was left truly horrified by what turned up.
Posting on Reddit, the chap revealed he had been holidaying in Japan and was recently dining for food at an Italian restaurant. Eager to enjoy a pint of lager with his meal, the man couldn't quite believe his eyes when the waiter arrived with his drink. Beer connoisseurs might be frightened to receive a lager in anything but a Pilsner glass, so this situation is no different.
The same goes for a Guinness, you wouldn't want it to arrive in anything but the iconic glass.

In the post, the caption read: "Is this pint I was served abroad acceptable?" The photo shows a pint of lager with a big head of foam in a Guinness glass.
Underneath the controversial picture, the boozer added: "Got served this beer at an Italian restaurant in Japan." Meanwhile people couldn't quite believe their eyes as to what the man had received.
One asked: "Did it come with a flake?" Another added: "Do you want a flake with that? Where's the rest of the pint?"
Someone else chimed in: "It looks stupid in a Guinness glass, but some places in Europe actually serve them like that! I think central Europe maybe? It's crazy."
A fourth posted: "A beer served in a Irish glass, in an Italian restaurant in Japan." While a fifth joked: "That Guinness looks a bit weird to me mate."
It is considered poor etiquette to serve other beer in a Guinness glass as it's designed specifically for the Irish stout's creamy head and unique way it's poured.
Meanwhile, serving another beer in the Irish glass can also negatively impact the flavour, aroma and overall drinking experience of the non-Guinness beer.
The Guinness glass has a unique shape which has been made to support the thick and creamy head of the black stuff.
And using a branded glass for a different beer can be seen as disrespectful to both the brewery, as well as the beer itself.
Some might even say it's a matter of respect for the beer's intended serving method and the brand's reputation.
Generally a boozer might serve a pint of beer in a different glass if they've run out of specific glasses or they're in the dishwasher.
